RTW Engineer Sherri Jones Wins
“Outstanding Woman in Engineering 2008”

Denver, CO – February 29, 2008 – Rothberg, Tamburini & Winsor, Inc. (RTW), a professional engineering and consulting firm headquartered in Denver, CO, would like to congratulate Sherri D Jones, PE for winning the “Outstanding Woman in Engineering” award for 2008 presented by the American Council of Engineering Companies – Colorado (ACEC).
RTW is a member of ACEC, which is a professional engineering organization representing 5,500 firms in the U.S. and more than 300,000 engineers. ACEC-CO represents some of the largest and smallest engineering companies in the country that are located here in Colorado. Ms. Jones was awarded this “Outstanding Woman in Engineering” award for her years of service to clients, and contributions to RTW and the engineering profession. Sherri joined RTW in 1993, and has steadily achieved project and professional success as a vital member of RTW’s water and wastewater design engineering team. She has achieved multiple distinctions in project management and sustainable design practices, as well as her Master’s degree in Engineering, progressing to her current position of Vice President/Senior Project Manager. She has also led over 12 national parks projects (many for Yellowstone NP), provided engineering for dozens of clients throughout the Western U.S., and led over 10 Colorado projects (including work for Denver Water, Niwot, CDOT/Vail, Tabernash Meadows, and Three Lakes) in design, operations, training, startup, construction management and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment systems.
Angela Howard, PE., was also recognized as a nominee at the ACEC-CO awards lunch February 26th recognizing New Faces in Engineering, and Women in Engineering. Angela supports Colorado projects in water and wastewater from both the Colorado Springs and Denver offices of RTW, and is not only a licensed engineer, but active in volunteerism and leadership with the Girl Scouts of America, and the Pikes Peak Section of the Society of Women Engineers.
