Local Tetra Tech Engineer’s Achieve PE Licenses
Denver, CO – January 26, 2009 – Tetra Tech, a leading provider of consulting, engineering, and technical services with offices throughout Colorado and the United States, would like to congratulate Steven Tamburini and Mickey Kavanaugh on the completion of their Colorado Principles and Practice of Engineering exam, and their achievement of their Professional Engineer (P.E.) License. Coupled with their diverse engineering and project experience, this licensure can ensure clients the commitment of both Tetra Tech and its personnel.
Steve Tamburini, P.E. specializes in water and wastewater treatment process design and consulting. His water system experience includes wastewater and drinking water treatment process design, operation, facility commissioning, long range planning, and wastewater process computer modeling. Additionally, he has specific experience with removal of radionuclide contaminants from raw water sources for drinking water systems. He also co-instructs Tetra Tech RTW’s Biological Nutrient Removal course for wastewater treatment plant operators, engineers, and industrial personnel. Specifically, Steve has worked with the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District, the City of Augusta Utilities Department, Woodmoor Water and Sanitation District, and Castle Pines Metropolitan District.
Mickey Kavanaugh, P.E. has performed services in planning, design, construction documentation, bidding and construction observation phases of projects. Projects have included municipal/public works infrastructure design including water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and transmission mains, water and wastewater collection systems, site grading, and construction observation of water works appurtenance installations, earthwork, erosion control, and structures. He is proficient in the use of various brands of water distribution and sewer collection system modeling software. Mickey has helped develop modeling systems for Woodmoor Water & Sanitation District, Goldsmith Gulch Sanitation District, and Castle Pines Metropolitan District.
