Local RTW Engineers Achieve PE Licenses

Denver, CO – October 1, 2007 – Rothberg, Tamburini & Winsor, Inc. (RTW), a professional engineering and consulting firm headquartered in Denver, CO, would like to congratulate Andrew Rice and Phillip Sack in the completion of their Colorado Principles and Practice of Engineering exams, and achievement of their Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenses.  Coupled with their diverse engineering and project experience, this licensure can ensure clients of the commitment of both RTW and its personnel to achieving the highest Spirit of Performance on municipal and industrial projects.

Mr. Sack is experienced with Project Management, Risk Management, planning and design of wastewater systems (collection, treatment and disposal facilities) and water systems (60” transmission lines, storage tanks and treatment plants).  He has prepared subsurface investigations, drainage reports, grading plans, and sedimentation and erosion control plans, and is skilled in surveying, construction materials testing, foundation design, and pavement design.  Further expertise in surface water modeling and hydraulic design includes: H2Omap Sewer, CUHP, UDSWM, UDINLET, UDSewer, HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, Flow Master and StormCADD, Rational Method, and SS-TR-20.  

Mr. Rice, with his background in civil and environmental engineering, has served as project engineer for numerous water and wastewater projects throughout Colorado. His project experience includes treatment facility design and construction oversight, utility master planning, and distribution system modeling.  In addition to engineering design and construction, Mr. Rice also has a microbiology background, has led   activated sludge process control training, and performed facility performance assessments and filamentous organism identification.
