Electrical Control Checkout

Installation for each piece of equipment is thoroughly checked out by Tetra Tech RTW prior to plant startup. The controls and instrumentation installation requires an extensive loop checkout procedure and final calibration of all automatic controls and instrumentation devices. The PLC programming is also tested and modified as required.

During system testing and startup, Tetra Tech RTW completely verifies the entire process database; correct operation of the links on the graphics screen; tests alarms; as well as generates and confirms reports and other network functions. This may be done while the existing system is run in parallel or, in the case of a new facility, may include operation through direct PLC interfaces or local control devices. It is during this phase that operators become acquainted with the system and can begin to offer further input into the development process, which continues through system startup and testing.
